EPK (press kit) template

Getting started: documents · Document 4 · By Ayush Panda · 21 October 2026 · 2 min read

The short answerAn EPK (electronic press kit) is a one-stop page or PDF that tells journalists, promoters, curators and brands who you are and gives them everything they need: a short bio, your best music, photos, video, highlights, upcoming plans and contact details. Keep it to one or two pages, update it every release, and share it as a link rather than a heavy attachment.

Questions people ask

Should my EPK be a PDF or a web page?

Either works. A web page (or shared folder) is easy to keep current; a PDF is easy to attach. Many artists have both, with the PDF linking to the folder of photos and music.

What if I don't have press coverage yet?

Use what you have: streaming milestones, shows played, collaborations, playlist adds, quotes from fans or artists you've worked with. Keep it honest and specific.

How long should my bio be?

Have three lengths: one line, one paragraph (about 80 words), and a longer version (about 250 words). Most people will read only the first two.
